This morning I awakened to the most hearty inbox message from one of my white colleagues who wanted to post on my timeline about the Dunn verdict last night but felt compelled to write privately instead given the existing discourse and her more heavenly viewpoint. She reminded me that WE are the Church, whether black or other. And, Jesus is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle. Now, let us get about the Fathers business! p.s. Love abounds! God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man (including you and me and Mr. Dunn and Zimmerman too) sows that shall he also real. Every one of us will have our day. Even those of us who sat silent to the massacre on black boys in America. The massacre by white men in Florida and black men in Chicago and NOLA alike.
