This morning I feel gutted...I feel for these girls who gave one of the most complete, passionate and hard working efforts from a T&T football team in ages! Every ball they lost was almost instantly won back...never have I seen such sublime passing by a local footballer since Latapy by #12 Ahkeela Mollon....woman yuh good I eh meet u on any field is level embarrassment. Yaya Cordner breathtaking on the left...Maylee the engineroom and Captain pulling the strings in midfield. Rhea Belgraves, Arin King towers in defence...And Kimika Forbes despite her blunder has saved incredibly for us. They must be inconsolable today and for many months to come. Maybe just maybe The Government and Corporate T&T will see that a team who we paid almost no attention to, who we starved of resources, who we disrespected did so much with so little. What could have happened if millions was pumped into their preparation. We are going to hear a lot of meaningless thank yous from Ministers and Corporations (and fans) who generally didnt care about them until the last few weeks. We need as a country to place more value in sport...again copy something beneficial from the damn Americans. To all of you ladies we salute you, we thank you....and maybe as a country we should also scream, WE ARE SORRY.
