This morning I feel like pissing of both my liberal friends and my conservative ones. I love how after two weeks of talking about mean girl emails, weve now awaken to the ACTUAL story being that terrorists representing another nation have waged a cyber attack on our soil to bring down a Japanese company on American soil. But what I REALLY love is the Hollywood Elite and late-to-the-party politicians and pundits now pontificating that this topic is about the silencing of freedom of expression and freedom of speech. Fact, it is a federal crime to even speak a threat against a US President. Yet somehow we think our freedom of expression is being trampled when some studio knuckleheads make a movie in which they kill (by actual name) the leader of another nation. Lets not kid ourselves, Rogen and Franco and Sony could NEVER have made this movie about living presidents Obama or W. Bush or Clinton or even Carter. Still, now that the film is made, terrorist thugs, regardless of their nationality, should NEVER win and I will definitely be watching this film when it is released on VOD (and it will be). But can we please quit kidding ourselves? In honor of freedom of expression, heres the directors cut of Madonnas American Life video which - even in the Directors cut is missing the 2 second scene that got it banned, in which she tosses the grenade into the lap of an actor who looks very similar to a US President who was residing over the US at the time. vimeo/34456498
