This morning I found our small library rummaged through, which happens often as Aryan is in the habit of taking books to school (non academic) to read when he has time. Today I was cross with him because he already had a heavy bag. He told me that he wanted to take National Geographic to show his teacher something. 'What something?' 'My teacher says there are 8 planets but I know there are 13, 8 planets and 5dwarf planets so that makes it 13 and the dwarf planets are Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake and Eris.' 'Did you tell this to your teacher?' 'Yes I told her and she said no you are wrong.' Now, when I was going to school we could not question our teachers forget about taking an article to prove them wrong, it was unthinkable! Off goes the National geographic to science class today ....hopefully more children can raise their voice when they feel they are right.
