This morning I got up an hour early, because I forgot to change - TopicsExpress

This morning I got up an hour early, because I forgot to change all the clocks. I got a chance to dawdle, and play on Facebook for an extra hour. My intake at my new job (I HAVE A JOB!!! OH GLORY BE!!!) went smoothly, and Im going into it with a great attitude. Its a good company, and growing, and it smells good in there, what with all the lumber. Then I went to my meeting at Workforce, where they took my completed paperwork, handed me a gas card for $15 and sent me on my way with their congratulations on the new job. :) On the way out, I saw a man with his little girl who seemed very sad. I offered them my lunch, which seemed to make them happier. No worries, now that I will have an income in a couple of weeks. Then I picked up bf, who was in a bad mood, but I told him I was having a great day, and that he must not rain on my parade (even though its raining intermittently today. Apparently, the weather finally realized its time to be autumn now.) He let me drive, and let me choose what music to listen to, and before long he was smiling, too. We drove to Fort Collins, where he paid his traffic ticket, and we found the Dept. of Revenue where we got all the information necessary to put the business back on the books, in both our names this time. (Hes been promising to do that for a number of years, and maybe this time he means it.) Then we drove down to Longmont, and he turned in his ballot in Boulder county where hes registered. Then we got a little lunch on the way back out of town. We just got home, and hes already snoozing, while I relax with my keyboard, while I still have the time. My new job entails being there at 6AM, and working until 3:30PM, Monday through Friday. Saturdays may or may not be in the offing as well, but we shall see. Since there are a number of things lacking in my life that money might help with, I am psyched! So, its been a good day for me. Since I get off work just before my grandson gets done with school, I might be able to be helpful in picking him up afterwards, once I settle in. I like being helpful when I can. Smiling for a change... :D
