This morning I joined patients and staff from Hanover & Devonshire Green Medical Centres to launch their petition calling on the Government to halt the withdrawal of vital funding that the surgeries currently receive. If this funding cut goes ahead the GP surgeries face the prospect of bankruptcy and closure. Ministers need to urgently rethink the funding cut before it’s too late and provide fairer funding for GP practices which serve deprived inner-city populations where patients have complex health needs.
