This morning I made the trip to Palco, to say my goodbyes to a wonderful man and friend!!! I have alot of college memories and overall memories of this man weve all come to know and love as KURT! When I got to the Red Line Church of God, my first reaction was unbelievable. To see how many cars parked on the church ground, goes to show how much this man impacted so many lives. Kurt had a wonderful celebration of his life! Many of us were overcome with many tears during the service. Roger Cooper gave his heart in music and song and sang I Can Only Imagine. It was very beautiful! A young lady also played the violin, and played it so well! Kurts pastor illustrated to us about the one main objective in Kurts life...and that was Its all about relationships...the rest is just detail! Kurt had a way with words and a way of touching each and everyone of us during his life. Many friends and family had the chance to relive old memories and tell old stories about Kurt and his love for watermelon and Marys chicken. It was truly a beautiful service! At the end of the service, we all said our goodbyes as he said his goodbye to us through a video. I dont believe there was a dry eye in the sanctuary. Overall, our hearts and prayers go out to Ginger, Danielle, Craig, and the rest of the Dinkel family, for letting us share Kurts life with them and for letting Kurt be a part of our lives all these years. He will be truly missed...and Im sure somewhere up there in heaven...hes already up to his usual bag of tricks! Rest in Peace my friend!!!!
