This morning I opened the paddock gate, put Lunita´s halter on and, loose rope, took a step forward to pick up her bucket on the way. Luni started to walk, and went a few steps ahead of me, then stopped and turned her head. The communication was totally oops, sorry Mum, didn´t realise youd stopped to do something. The rope didn´t get tense. I had´t said a word. These Appaloosa girlies are just so smart. They can not go to just anyone. This is a 4 year-old with no training on her - just been handled respectfully since the day she was born.
