This morning I read about the life of Mary Reed, a woman who was a missionary in India. When she was diagnosed with Leprosy, at the age of 46, Mary was advised to return to America for medical treatment. Instead of doing what to most would seem prudent, she moved to the Himalayas, where there was a mission leprosy colony. Mary spent the last 53 years of her life, working among those who had leprosy, like she did. I read that the more she worked, the stronger she became and the symptoms lessened! I want to live my life being spent for Jesus!
