This morning, I realized I have been painting at the McDonalds in E.Orange for three years now. I have met countless children and have watched some of them grow. They are all so dear to me. From my little terror Love, who has been coming in since she was too little for a painting and who now waltzes up to me and grins as she asks for a buhafy to my very special friend Mathew who is autistic and overcoming the difficulties he deals with every day with his wonderful mom by his side, finally trusting me enough to actually allow me to paint an intricate design on his arm with my brushes instead of having to sponge a bunch of star with a stencil on a blue background. Each child brings something special into the mix, and I love when I am greeted with their hugs!
