This morning I was having a conversation about the obvious - TopicsExpress

This morning I was having a conversation about the obvious breakdown of institutions, corruption of systems, coming apart of culture. Author and lecturer, Phyllis Tickel, talks about the 500 year cycles of human civilization, and that we are in the breakdown phase as the old stops working and we reconfigure ourselves into new ways of being and doing human civilization. It is difficult at this point for many to see anything but the ashes, the decomposing swamp, the field of manure - it is hard to remember that new life rises from the remains of what has died. Blessings on this painful and messy process, blessings on the cultivators of culture and civilization who trust the process and plant the seeds, tend the new shoots, permaculture culture itself.
