This morning I was lazy, it was hot and two kitten cats were argueing outside -very well fed, but status conscious. My appartment is very biblical with a roof patio. I feel very grand surveying the world around me palm trees, purple flowers, doves, onion dome chimneys and silver framed sea. All the paintwork is blue. I have sangria for breafast with museli - maybe a touch ostentatious and rather silly. I read a book until I feel like stopping !!! As opposed to doing stuff Following an exotic lunch of tinned sardines and spring water, I dress in my best blue silk top (ignoring the mysterious stain - surely no-one will notice) Walking down hot white pavement past cacti the size of trees, I have to stop every few seconds to look at orange pink paleblue and rose flowers. Who painted them? I crossed the road and walked through the soft tiled sculpture/skate park to the sea. Coming towards me is a gentleman in huge navy shorts with a tucked in shirt. he speaks to me in german I smile and say inglese whereupon he grabs my head and gives me an uncomfortable kiss. My reply is nien 0r nein - once again he attempts to kiss me this is difficult for him as I am 510 and he is maybe 5 2. Drawing myself up tp my full height I give him a stern look and walk away like a dishevelled ostrich - (you know, the way they lift their feet up) several smooth well dressed women in unstained clothes exchange amused glances. Trying to look unruffled and casualy haughty I walk on. I walk past sea, superb stone sculptures made of rock photograph everything and finally end up in Matagorda (this is upmarket all the imitation volcanic fock bracelets, tea towells and strange stuffed animals are far more expensive than down town. Sitting down thankfully in the nearest cafe I eat local cheese and many marmalades (pickles in primary colours very tasty) whilst drinking a magnificent mini Flexinet bottle of cava. I draw for a long time before I realise everyone is watching footie Swansea versus ? Then the journey back.......
