This morning, I was pondering this over in my heart: I never invited Jesus into my heart. I merely accepted His personal invitation to enjoin his quality of life. His decision to give me Life to the fullest was decided way before Genesis 1:1. Creation was merely a type and shadow of the home he prepared for me, Paradise!!!. His death, burial and resurrection gave eye witness to His conclusion: It Is Finished. When you adopt a child, you don’t go live in the house of the child you are adopting. You invite that darling child that caught your eye into your home to share in your quality of life. Oooooohhh! I’ve got Good News! The adoption papers were signed! Hallelujah! I’m His!!!. Hang on….it gets better. According to Luke, Christ said heaven is within you! Woohoo! That is Good News indeed. Because, I once responded to a hell fire, brimstone sermon, repeated the words and meant them….I truly wanted no part of the hell the minister described. But, it did nothing for the hell I was already in. Then, one day, out of nowhere, through no effort or good works on my part, in fact, I was out fishing, drinking a wine cooler, He called my name and served me a personal invitation to join Him! Hot Diggity Dog. I didn’t have to die to go to heaven after all. That was a serious concern of mine because for three generations, the women in my family lived until the late nineties and I was still in my early twenties at the time. Oooohhh! and let me just say one more thing. He has One FINE Home!!!...Joy Unspeakable….Peace….and OH! The LOVE! It captivates me! It motivates me! It energizes me! I tell you it gets plum intoxicating at times. I think I might be getting a little drunk!
