This morning I was up at 5:00 with my daughter-in-law in her tiny New York City studio trying to decorate silently while my son slept 15 feet away. She was kneeling on the floor taping red, round paper plates with cutout letters pasted on the front. I read Dr. Linscott and felt a wave of emotion hit me. First, I was sharing this moment with Kristen, the gift I received when she answered I do last summer when I asked if she would take Josh as her husband. Second, my son has finished his doctorate. So proud. Third, he would not be here if not for Robin and I building a life together. And, fourth, I would not be here in this moment, if not for his passion and sacrifice in giving me half of his liver to save my life. Wow...
