This morning I was volunteering at a one of about a dozen Community Garden open houses representing Dane Co. Master Gardeners. Was there to field questions and provide info, etc. The garden is located behind Leopold School and is supported by Community Action Coalition and the local neighborhood assoc. Lots of sun and fresh air. I will sleep well tonight. I did not feel qualified but my MGardener advisor talked me into it. It was really fun and I made some new friends. And I discovered I knew more than I thought about growing veggies. I plan to go over and help them for work days.
