This morning I went to Bucksport and Castine. Bucksport is a very little town that has a place called Jed Prouty Inn. A very nice old fashioned hotel and dining venue. It also houses Fort Knox which is an amazing old fort to defend the coast. The third thing is the grave of the Knox family which forms a leg on the tombstone of the wife and is haunted. Castine is a very nice old town on the coast and has the Maine Maritime College. It trains merchant marines. I was also able to enjoy some fried clams and a nice crab roll for lunch. I am now headed to Bar Harbour and Mt Cadillac to watch the sunset.
