This morning I went to the cabinet and grabbed my favorite purple - TopicsExpress

This morning I went to the cabinet and grabbed my favorite purple coffee cup that my sister bought me for my birthday, and on the front, it reads, Forgiven. What a reminder. :) Unfortunately, I can no longer have coffee unless it is Decaf (of which I have none of.) So I grabbed the jug of milk, to pretend my thirst was being quenched with a delicious cup of Java. Nobody else had to know. lol but as I fixing to sit down with my pretend coffee... The thought came to mind... Whats in your cup? Matthew 23:24-26 NKJV says: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also. ***The inside of the cup represents a persons character. (Luke 11:39-40) Jesus pointed out that the Pharisees concerned themselves with outward appearances and ritual cleanness, while what was inside, what really counts, was full of selfishness and evil. People go to church religiously but dont have a relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ.. Professing to know Him but their hearts are far from Him. Friend, Its not external but its the heart, thats desperately filled with wickedness. Whatever it is, pride... (Comes in many forms such as unforgiveness.) Stubbornness? Which is as the sin of idolatry. So again, I must ask, myself and others whats in your cup? Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way of everlasting. Good morning friends.
