This morning, I woke up to the horrible news of the school shooting in Peshawar, Pakistan. I am heartbroken by this inhumane act of terror. As of recent news, over 140 people were killed within the school - over 130 of them being children. I am simply in shock that so many innocents lost their lives today. These children went to school, a supposedly safe place for learning and growth. So many parents said goodbye to their children for the last time, and nothing makes my heart hurt more than this. I realize that December is a busy and stressful time for many of you, but please keep these children and families in your thoughts and prayers. This is a true tragedy. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their loved ones today. And to those of you with ignorance in your hearts, do not blame Islam. This is not a representation of Muslims globally. The killing of innocent children IS NOT of the teachings of Islam. This is simply tragedy in a horrible form.
