This morning, Ive been watching the movie TAXI DRIVER with Robert De Niro. Great movie! Classic! This movie is also a prime example of how NYC and the rest of America has been swamped in filth, crime and menaces to society, and how its continued to get worse as time has gone by. TAXI DRIVER was always sort of a confusing film, the way it was made and how it was directed, but that only adds to how complex and fascinating this movie has always been. Robert De Niro was a taxi driver who was trying to keep himself from becoming unhinged from all the crime and the thugs he dealt with night after night. He became really disturbed with all that. But it was really amazing how he played such an awesome character, and how he tried to help a 13-year old hooker in this movie, how he helped her get away from all the pimps and what she was doing in order to live a better, productive life. Of coarse, we know one of the most memorable and funny scenes in this movie, when Robert De Niro was doing practices on using a gun, when he looked in the mirror and says YOU TALKIN ME? YOU TALKIN TO ME? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TALKIN TO? IM THE ONLY ONE HERE! (L.O.L.)
