This morning, Jacque had her device programmed and it works PERFECTLY! It just seems unbelievable that this journey started just over THREE WEEKS AGO. There is no way to express our appreciation and how gobsmacked we are to have had this happen to our family. For those of you that are reading this, we are having a big party on the Saturday after St. Patricks Day. Tuesday is telling me that she was thinking of ALL the times we have had to plan around Jacques headaches and it seems so unbelievable that these shouldnt be an issue any more. Just no way to wrap my head around it. No way. We talked to the amazing nurse that programmed the device and she says that very very few people have any issues with failure after the device works, so maybe our fear that it will just quit working isnt real. It just feels like the other shoe is going to drop all the time. I should get it out there that her migraines are not REALLY going away; they are merely masked by the neurostimulator. She may still have breakthrough pain, but that thing can be really cranked up so well see how it goes. The kids are eating some breakfast/lunch and then after we speak with the surgeon again, well be ready to go! Love love love love to all and MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Awesome sauce!
