This morning, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman hosted a women’s forum at UConn focused on attracting and retaining women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. STEM occupation salaries are higher and women earn an average of 86 cents to every dollar a man earns, above the typical gender wage gap of 70 cents for every dollar. This is the ninth in a series of women’s forums designed to address issues facing women in Connecticut and across the nation.
