This morning Oliver woke up at 4:45 and was in my bed snuggling up against me when I finally pulled myself out of a deep sleep. I took him back to his room and laid down on the floor next to his bed. He was tossing around and playing with his blanket so I just turned my back to his bed and closed my eyes. Eventually he reached over and started petting my shoulders. Then he started smacking my face! I said, "Oliver, go to sleep." And he said, "Hold my hand, mommy." :) I did and we both fell back to sleep that way.
