This morning. Phone rings. It is difficult to hear the person on the other end of the phone due to the noise in the store from the 40+ people engaged in their hobbies. Customer now waiting at counter for service. I want to order some (insert game hobby product here) 2nd customer now waiting for service. Unfortunately the game supplier is not open today, but if you call back Monday they are open for business and we will be able to confirm the availability of the items you want. 3rd customer now waiting for service. You are WRONG, they ARE open for service. I was just speaking with them on the phone and....one moment please....(takes phone call on another line, leaves me on hold) 4th customer now waiting for service. Still on hold. 5th customer now waiting for service. Im sorry it is busy here, I have customers waiting and I am having trouble hearing you Blurble, mumble, blurble (words to the effect that this is just not good enough)....CLICK....beep-beep-beep-beep.... Customer ends call. Point being? We are often very busy on Saturdays. We are happy to place orders for customers for items not already in stock. We are however NOT able to control how busy we are from one moment to the next. Sometimes we will simply be too busy to take your call. Sometimes we will be less busy and therefore able to chat in a more relaxed fashion. We do not want to cause offence, but if we have people in front of us waiting for service then they will usually take priority and we may therefore be forced to have to ask you to call back. For future reference our suppliers may choose to divert calls from their business phone to their private line at home. People do that. This does NOT however mean that their offices and/or warehouses are open, or that they have their staff on duty to run around. Wholesale suppliers of goods usually operate their offices from Monday to Friday. These are the only days that we can phone them to get EXACT answers to your stock inquiries, rather than less accurate guesswork concerning stock availability, pricing etc. It is our policy to always TRY to supply you with the correct information, rather than approximate guesswork, whenever possible. Thanks for your patience and understanding folks :)
