This morning Sach traveled down to Fayetteville to judge the championship round of the 2013 William H. Sutton Barristers’ Union Trial Competition. Teams made up of second and third year students argued the merits of a products liability case. When asked about Sach presiding, competitor Ariel Flood said, “He is by the most charismatic presiding judge we’ve had thus far in the competition. He was neutral and fair on his rulings of the evidence and it was an extreme pleasure to be advocating in front of him.” Sach acted as presiding judge along with fellow judges Tim Hutchinson (of Reese Moore Pendergraft), Stevan Vowell (of Taylor Law Partners), and John Sjovall (of Walmart Legal). Students who competed in the final round are all invited to participate in the annual Bailey and Oliver Law Firm Closing Argument Competition next Saturday.
