This morning, The Shade Tree of Las Vegas unveiled its new Serenity Room, thanks to a generous donation by the Lynne-Ruffin Smith Charitable Foundation. We also need to acknowledge and thank TWC Construction for their outstanding leadership on this construction project! The Serenity Room will provide victims, who are seeking safe shelter at The Shade Tree, a soothing environment in which to begin the healing process in the first few critical moments after a woman has left her home and abuser. The space will provide women the privacy they need as they take that first step towards self-sufficiency.
