This morning, all was quiet, so quiet I was growing increasingly concerned the seizures had returned or Marty had regressed for some other reason. Then, about 10:50, I walked around her bed to see her right eye open. The left was not as active but they remained open for 25 minutes! The scene was repeated an hour later and for 5 hours her eyes were either open or would open easily with verbal prompting! Her legs were much more active with voluntary movement, as were her arms (though less so). She has not combined this much activity since going into the coma. Eye openings had not totaled 10 minutes a day and that only a few days! She is gaining strength and I am hopeful my sleeping beauty will awaken soon!
