This morning as I prepare to go to Nathan Overtons viewing, so many thoughts are weighing on my mind. The first being, we never know. We never know if we will have another moment..another conversation with anyone. Lets make our words count..sometimes those words arent always pleasant, but if they are spoken in love and truth..then we can rest in that. Sometimes loving people means caring enough..being brave enough to tell the truth in love. Sometimes nothing we say or do will change the path a person chooses to take. There is pain in this life. There is no getting around that. What can we do now? We can pray for this family..today, tomorrow and months from now. If you knew Nathan, pray for his family. If you didnt know Nathan, pray for his family. This road they are now walking down only begins today. Please dont forget them. Lift them up..ask God to embrace, comfort and strengthen them..and keep asking next week and the week after that. When we are back to our everyday lives..they will need your prayers. PLEASE dont tell them that God needed another angel..or that God needed him more than his family did. A grieving family does not want to hear that..and its not even true. There are mysteries and heartaches that we may never understand until we get to Heaven..but there are a few things that I know..God knows the number of our days..the number of hairs on our head..and He is drawn to the broken hearted..He bottles our tears. He loved Nathan and his battle is over. He loves his family..and His grace will be sufficient for the battle they are now facing. Please remember the Overton family. As a mother, I cannot fathom the pain. Lets be kind to each other. Lets love each other. Lets shower these people with prayer.
