This morning, as I wake up, the date forces me to think of 13 years ago, and how just at this time this morning, I kissed Katherine good bye and saw her for the last time. I have not been besieged with calls from reporters, and that has been kind of nice. But, also also allows for more contemplation. Who commemorates the passing of a loved one 13 years later? 9/11 family members, do. But not just us, so does the country, as does much of the civilized world. This joint mourning, personally keeps it present, but supports me just the same. It still hurts, but not like it did years earlier. All the victims names are in the public domain, and so is our grief. So, your support is not just appreciated, but necessary. Soon after the attacks, Senator John McCain said wed be fighting this war for 20 years, and it looks like he was right. And now, new evil has reared its head. But this time, the country is not asleep at the switch. Thank you for your continued love and support.
