This morning as I watched my little Toby the terror, he was chasing a bug. I watched him when he finally stopped it with his paw and he looked at the bug as if to say get up, run from me, he prodded it with his paw cocking his head, as if in inquiry of the bug. In a few minutes the bug began to move and then started to run and TTT chased it again, barking and growling as if it were a dragon. The bug ran behind a plastic tube I keep yard and pool things in and he couldnt reach it. He went from side to side barking and trying to reach behind this heavy blue tub, to reach that bug. He finally gave up and walked away and went out and chased squirrels. I realized that to that dog, the fun is not in catching, no his fun is in the chase. I have met some men like that, they chase and chase and then when they catch whatever they are after, they lose interest. Its the CHASE they love. Strange characteristics they have, men and dogs.
