This morning, at the City of Sonoma Memorial Day event, I held Adie extra close while the MC read the names of those we have lost in service to our country. For generations, my family, like many others, have served in every branch of our armed forces; we have been lucky, and they have all come home, safely. Every year, I give thanks for the safety of Ben Ambrose (cousin), Cory Brenner (cousin), Jamie Jimenez (uncle), Dewayne Irvin (uncle), Jim Underwood (uncle) and Everett Carlstrom (grandfather) and Glorya Carlstrom (grandmother), all of whom served or serve our nation honorably. Thank you to all those who have given their lives, in honor to our country.
