This morning i woke before the sun to meet up with friends to do something Ive never done before - bag a summit of epic proportions. There was lots of climbing, tons of exposed edges, snow covering several portions of the trail & a very hefty challenge with altitude sickness (were talking it took me almost an hour to climb a little more than 1.5 miles due to nausea and lightheadedness). This climb was no joke and i couldnt have made it without everyone pulling me through. A special shout out to Kandice Marks for staying back with me that last half mile & to Heather Rubino-Rothmeyer for being my beacon of hope/strength. Also thank you Paula Raimondi for the carrot juice & extra water, i appreciate you so much that i cant even put it into words. Sorry Edward M Knapp if i held ya back on the descent, but per the usual it was a pleasure being in your company! This summit is dedicated to Erica Truka and her very best friend Jessica (we signed their names in the registry & it was their circumstances that allowed me to pull through). I LOVE you all, thank you for being such wonderful, inspirational friends.
