This morning it was great to be at Bexley Public School and Rockdale Public School for the end of year ceremonies of both schools. I was impressed with the level of excellence being fostered in both schools as high levels of achievement were honoured. It was plain to see at these ceremonies that it is by encouragement that a student’s love for learning grows even brighter. I was glad to be able to make my own contribution to the school awards by awarding high-achieving students who have embraced community values with the Barton Shield award, which is in its first year in 2014. Congratulations to all awardwinners and thank you to all teachers.
