This morning my neighbours daughter came to me with an important announcement, Apostle, Im a lion! Really? You are a lion? I replied. Not knowing what else to say, I asked her, If you are a lion, what do you eat? Without missing a beat, she replied, Golden Morn. I laughed so hard because it was the last answer I expected. As I thought about it later I realised that there was a lesson hidden within that funny episode. A lot of us dont realise it but what we eat says a lot about who we are. No matter what we profess to be, or who we say we are, what we feed on day by day is the true indicator of who we really are. Here was a little girl claiming to be a lion, yet when we got down to the daily diet of a lion, her feeding preference told me who she really was... a girl. Your feeding patterns can reveal the opposite of who you claim to be. You cant claim to be a child of God when all you do is feed on the Devils lies. You cant claim to be holy if you gorge on unholy trash. You cant claim to be wise if you feast on foolishness. You cant claim to be a believer if you binge on unbelief. No healthy lion will eat Golden Morn. The lion, king of the jungle, hunter of prey is devourer of flesh. No healthy spiritual man will make carnality his daily meal. That would make him a carnal man. A true spiritual man feeds on the spiritual food - the word of God. So, are you a spiritual person or a carnal person? Maybe I should ask in another way, What do you eat?
