This morning my right leg sciatic nerve problem over-acted, never been that bad, from back to hip, right down to my knee, calve, and ankle was bothering me immensely. I had trouble sleeping. I buzzed the nurse, wonderful women named MERCY. That`s right. She brought me a Tylenol to ease the pain. I wanted to take a shower and practice my singing to get my mind off of things. Impossible, because I thought of my mother and the swelling in her right leg days before she had passed away... I had to call an ambulance. Mother would not stay in a hospital if she could avoid it, so she insisted to be taken home and have a visiting nurse. But that one night, around 2:00 am, it was severe for her -- she had tried to go to the wash-room and she had slipped on the floor and had called my name. I was snoring away in another bedroom. Finally heard something, tried to lift her up but could not. She had pleaded for the ambulance. In a way, my sciatic nerve pain, though it hurts, is nothing compared to what she had gone through. And we both had and have a high tolerance for physical pain. It was as if... I suffered a bit more today... to remind me what she had suffered. I cried. And, the moaning and groaning and yelling to myself as I showered did not help much, especially for the patients nearby who were still sleeping... hence I tried to sing and sit still.. have the water flow as I sang. It helped. At least it helped my wretched soul. I tried to sing the Anniversary Waltz for NADIA, which she had danced during anniversaries, when she was young and beautiful and the anchor for our family. youtube/watch?v=ekduN2N0eTY
