This morning on my way to work, I heard a talk show host telling a story of a man he met in a car wash. The man he met was cleaning his best friends car- the car had been given to him when the friend passed away in Iraq just weeks ago, and he said how proud and scared he was to have it. Growing up in such a military-heavy area, I often get too used to the idea of what our military is and does for us, but I need to start remembering and being thankful more than a few days a year. So THANK YOU to all the heroes that I know, all the ones I dont, and all the ones that never made it home. After all, theres never a bad time to say that youre proud to be an American.
