SOLIDARITY WITH THE MURUM PENANS IN KL THIS WEEK: Nov 20, WED 9.00 am - (FOR PUBLIC): Show of solidarity at Bukit Aman Police Headquarters (note: supporters to meet at Bukit Aman car park, near to Jalan Parliament). Delegation to dialogue with IGP and hand over memorandum. 10.30am - (FOR PUBLIC): March to Parliament (note: distance of about 500 meters from Bukit Aman HQ or car park). In previous such peaceful walks, less than 50 people turned up, giving the walk a sad air. We urge all those who are available to come. 11.30am - In Parliament, delegation to hand memorandum to PM’s Office on the Murum issue, and to Home Minister’s Office on police misconduct at the blockade and dropping of charges against the 10 recently arrested. 1.00pm - In Parliament, delegation to brief Opposition leaders. 8.00pm - (FOR PUBLIC): Public forum at KLSCAH with special focus on the plight of the Penan women and children in Murum. Speakers include two female villagers and two headmen. First floor, Auditorium. Hear first-hand from the villagers themselves!
