This morning, self-taught artist Presley H Ward, known as The Stick Man, was at Canterbury to talk to 5th grade students about his artwork. Ward makes art from anything, but is best known for his walking sticks, which are made from branches he finds, carves, and paints. Fifth graders are making their own walking sticks, and got a few tips from the artist. Canterbury will host a reception and show of Wards work on Nov. 13, 6:15-8pm, in Stafford Arts Center. The event free and everyone is welcome
