This morning someone posted a 2-year old Charisma story about Rick Warren denying he supported Chrislam. He may not support Chrislam, but he did sign a document that recognized Allah as the All-merciful that as Christians the signatories were seeking forgiveness of. Unfortunately, Rick Warren and many other Christians who have become involved with engaging Muslims are completely out of their depth. Recently I got into a big controversy because I supported those who are well acquainted with Islam engaging in bridge building with Christians who have taken an opposition position to Israel in outreach to Palestinian Arab Christians. This is a completely different thing than Rick Warren and friends are trying to do. While we respect the dignity God gives to every man in free will choice, we do not share the same God as Muslims. Warren and friends act like God is just a generic term that stands for the God of yours, mine and theirs. Like Kleenex is a term that covers all tissues. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - the I AM that I AM of Exodus 3:14 is the same God of Yeshua of Nazareths Before Abraham was, I AM. John 8:58 The god that a demonized man wrote about, Allah, is not related to our faith in anyway. There is a grave problem with ministries who do not understand Islam trying to build bridges with Muslims. It may be springing out of a heart to do good, but it is so far out of their depth that is is not only dangerous to those who do it, but to the millions of souls who follow them. Apparently those who are set on this course cannot hear the warnings, do not believe they are being hood winked by a religion that embraces the political dominance of all the rest of us - and no device to reach that goal is off the table. We do need to pray for Christians who have been deceived by the lies of Islamist agents - that they would recover from the deception they have been led into.
