This morning, the LSPD and LSFD conducted our annual field training exercise. The exercise is designed to allow agencies and units to train together in preperation for real world scenarios. The training was conducted in the 800 block of Blue Parkway in the AT&T complex and the incident scenario this year focused on an active shooter incident. Several local media outlets covered the event, you should see their stories on channels 4, 9 and 41 this evening. Below is a short video that was shot as the initial responding officers made entry into the building. Every effort is made to make the training as real as possible.
