This morning there was an attempted hi-jacking at Northgate shopping centre, suspects saw a Courier vehicle in the loading bay at the centre. As the driver got out of the vehicle one suspect forced him into the back of the van and another suspect got into the drivers seat. They asked the victim to hand over cellphones but he said he was only transporting books so didnt have any phones to give them. The suspects hit him around a bit but fortunately he didnt sustain any injuries. Londoloza TRT received the info and followed the tracker and found the vehicle at the Engine Garage near Olievenhout. The suspects had fled the scene already. One suspect was wearing a green t shirt and the other a black t shirt, one was wearing a black cap. Thanks to the quick response of Londoloza TRT the suspects did not manage to get away with anything and the driver was found safe. EMER-G-MED paramedics were also on scene along with Honeydew SAPS.
