This morning they moved into the Texas Winter Weather Alert bunker since it will get to freezing tonight and possibly the next few days. Hard to tell around here, if you wait five minutes the temperature changes often drastically, but I dont want to take a chance on having to knit padded piggy mittens at such a late time. The five of them squealed in protest wanting to hunker down in their well padded dens. I, mother of all guineas, insisted on the move to the comfortably balmy utility room where a space heater can warm their chubby tailless butts. They stomped their tiny paws on the dirt in rebellion (silent stomps) but in the end pouts with bottom lips over the tops prevailed. Only La-La and Cha-Chis enclosure which they arrived to the shelter in, is large enough for a comfy stay. The mothers, Daisy and Bella had the smaller one but I have the door open into a play area for them to romp and eat/drink. Panda boy got Lavenders carry-all sitting in the middle of a large fenced-in area with dome and tunnel right between the pair of girls..(piggy heaven). He still tries to communicate with La-La but she is too shy and pretends she is busy eating. He was caught giving kisses to Cha-Chi and she returned the kisses very lovingly on his tiny tiny Panda lips. (cue the Awww! button)
