This morning while I was driving in the country, I saw this horse as I went by his pasture. I drove on for a short while then turned around and went back. As I got out of my car to take a photo the horse seemed alert and his eyes told me that I had 100 percent of his interest. I took a few photos and he seemed to want to come closer...but I am sure he was wary of strangers. As I got back in my car I noticed someone coming out of a barn a short distance down the road. I drove up to the barn and struck up a conversation with the farmer. I told him what a great looking animal the horse was and wondered if it was his. He answered that the horse was indeed his and it was an appaloosa, whose name was DJ. I told him that the horse seemed interested in me and seemed to want my company. The farmer said that the horse is probably lonely because he was so busy lately that he was, unfortunately, unable to spend much time with him. Maybe, this week I will go for another ride in the country and bring DJ a carrot! 10/05/2014.
