This morning, with the help of the local cycling community, our family placed a ghost bike at the site of my fathers accident. A man who works across the street saw us there, and came over and identified himself as one of the first people on the scene. He was an army medic. He held my fathers hand and did all he could. He said that the paramedics did an exemplary job, as did an additional paramedic who happened to ride up to the scene of the accident on a bicycle. Our thanks to all of the first responders who did an exemplary and very professional job. His funeral will be at the World Forestry Center on December 6th, at 1:00 PM, and is open to any who would like to attend.
