This morning’s launch at Cape Canaveral is an important first step for reestablishing NASA’s human spaceflight program. It’s the first uncrewed flight test for Orion, NASA’s next-generation rocket system and crew capsule. During the four and half hour trip, Orion orbited the earth twice and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean 630 miles from San Diego. If you missed the launch, you can watch it on NASA’s website at: 1.usa.gov/1rNhsJx. You can also learn more about how NASA and Orion are working to inspire students to embark on STEM careers here: 1.usa.gov/1vc0rbf.
