This movie was nearly banned in the USA because of both sides of the political spectrum freaked out over it. The MPAA wanted to give it an NC-17 or X rating to the film. Interestingly the MPAAs legal team requested to keep it out of mainstream cinemas to avoid encouraging various fringe gun owners from going postal on criminals in the USA. In many states it only was shown at indie/art haus theaters for a week before being shelved. There was nearly zero media and the reviews were all negative and critical toward gun ownership and vigilantism. Im curious how well the sequel will play out.
