This my granddaughters report from the hospital in Birmingham on my daughter in law, Pat Williams...Please I beg everyone to pray and pray hard. My heart is breaking for my son and granddaughter for what they are having to experience. My daughter in law is the center of my sons and granddaughters world. She is my daughter more than a daughter in law. Tracy’s message Just got in from Birmingham. This is what we know so far on Mama. We were told that she flipped 4 to 5 times, flipped over a 25ft creek, and landed in some trees. They say the trees is what brought her down. She was pinned underneath the car. For how long, I dont know. She was up walking around after they got her out from underneath the car and actually walked to the ambulance. She got to Gadsden Regional and they did a ct scan which I guess prompted the flight to UAB. She was showing some fluid around her lungs which turned out to be blood. Now, after talking to the doc there and asking where she was bleeding from, she said that she wasnt bleeding per say. Its from where her lungs got bruised. They put her on the vent because she was having trouble breathing due to the broken ribs and the fluid around her lungs. They also put in a chest tube on her left side when she got there and while we were there they put one in on her right side and a central line. So, she now has 2 chest tubes, a central line, and is on the vent. She has 2 lacerations on her head, broken ribs, bruised lungs, her heart has sustained some type of trauma, a broken shoulder, small bleeding on the brain, and some breaks in her spine. The doc did say that she didnt think she would need surgery for anything so that is a plus. She still has a long road ahead of her and in the doctors words, she could make a full recovery or this could be fatal. It all depends on injuries and really her will to fight. She is a fighter!! She was agitated after the second chest tube was put in and I told her not to fight it that they were gonna give her some pain medicine to help and I grabbed her hand and said, Mama, Im here. Just hold my hand and I took her hand in mine and wrapped mine around hers. She settled right on down. She is following commands as far as yes and no with her head and she is able to move her arms and legs. The vent is breathing 18 breaths a minute for her for now but it did improve some after the 2nd chest tube. Keep those prayers coming because she is going to need them!! I love you all! Theres no possible way I could remember to call or text all of you back that have called or text and Im sorry! UPDATE ON LADY WE PRAYED FOR IN GOLDEN OLDIES SS CLASS THIS MORNING THANKS FOR ALL PRAYERS ~Frankie Dunn~
