***This needs to be said....so I said it*** Sooo....Im not a big movie kind of guy mostly because Im turned off by most mainstream movies out there....but someone told me theyre going to watch Think Like A Man Too and out of curiousity, I asked them why they were gonna go watch it and they said, cuz its awesome! Plus Kevin Hart is in it so its obviously going to be really funny! That was like word for word btw. ........ Anyway, out of curiosity again, I decided to go read a lil review of the movie to see what its all about and after reading about 3 reviews, I thought to myself, If comedy can drive people to watch anything, the makers of this movie have mastered that art. We live in a society where people dont care anymore about what they watch. They dont care what their eyes see and what images and lifestyles are repeatedly reinforced through the movie screens. People dont care about what they feed themselves anymore...its almost as if everything out there we can pay to watch is harmless and all done in good fun. I mean...is anything a big deal anymore? Is there anything we WONT watch? Do we have a backbone that tells us what we will and wont entertain? We live in a world that pushes subjective morality with almost no exceptions and because of it, were forcing ourselves to live in a world with no points of reference to guide us. I know Im not the only one who shares the same sentiments, I know many parents know what Im talking about especially because you know the importance of what your children digest on a daily basis and how toxic information can poison the mind. But this doesnt mean we should go around simply telling our own what they should or shouldnt watch...it means knowing WHY we should care in the first place. Convincing someone against their will leaves them in the same opinion still so until we figure out the importance of why we watch what we watch, we wont have any real lasting consistent success on changing what we watch for the better. Lets stand up for what we believe like our future depended on it because guess what....it does.
