This new Mariah Carey album literally punches me in the gut and leaves me for dead each time I listen from beginning to end. Believe it or not, Im NOT someone who loves everything she puts out. Her last album, Memoirs... was the worst thing Ive ever heard from her. But honestly, with Me. I Am Mariah, she pulled out all the stops and sings for her life like its her last chance for success. The stakes are so high on every track and I can honestly say its my favorite thing Ive ever heard from her. Its classic Mariah with old school pop/ soul/ R&B vocals, yet its SO fresh and contemporary. Someone on Twitter said How does this album have 15 tracks, yet covers 22 different genres? Its very true. Bravo, MC. Cant wait for this album release on Tuesday! You should be VERY, VERY proud!!
