This new year brings many emotions up to the surface. In November - TopicsExpress

This new year brings many emotions up to the surface. In November we were told that coming into this New Year we would be facing losing our sweet boy, we were told in November that Elijah has no gray brain matter activity and they could not measure the deeper parts. As we battle today the fear of losing this precious boy we are reminded of the greatness and life still in him, that only God knows and can measure. When I see Elijah engaged, reacting, smiling, making noises, when I see how a little girl like Ms. Maizie can light up his eyes as she sits and tries to help care for him, that fear is eased. We are reminded that Elijah is in Gods hands and He cares for him so much more than even we can fathom. We are reminded that Eijahs spirit and faith are so much stronger than his earthly body and that the unexplainable can and is happening in his life, in his body. He is so proud of his accomplishments, when he uses the big boy potty he smiles as we tell him what a good job he did. When nurse Emily comes and we tell him what a good job he did, Elijah smiles and shakes his head. Recently Elijahs best friend came for a visit, he reminded me of something very important. As he sat by Elijah and explained to me that he brought his movie to watch with Elijah since Elijah cant play with toys they could do that together. Then he starts talking about the things he and Elijah will do once Elijah is better. I looked at his mom questioning what he knew of Elijahs prognosis. She said to me that he knows what we have been told to expect for Elijah but that Hayden still has the hope of a child that Elijah will get better and they can play together. Hayden reminded me that as long as Elijah is still with us, we have hope too because God is bigger than Battens, bigger than fear, bigger than any of us and capable of anything, esp. The unexplainable. Wont you join us in bringing this hope into 2015, hope for a future in which we all are healed, we all are saved, we all are loved and we all have Hope in Him. Much love from Elijah and family!
