This news just blew me away: When I worked with Eric and Renee Cottrell-Brown at Johnson Products we identified champions for women living through the nightmare of Domestic Violence. We hosted a No Excuse! Stop the Abuse campaign for these champions to be nominated and Lisa Miller-Baldwin was chosen as Shero of the Year. I met her in DC where we took her to Capitol Hill to tell the story of domestic violence. We formed a bond and kept up through Facebook. Just a few minutes ago, reading the newsletter of her foundation Wonderfully Made, the top story was that she died in a car accident back in October on her way to a second job to keep her home for DV victims! Oh, Lisa, I am floored! I consider you a sisterfriend who I may never have met because you were based in OKC and Im in L. A. You were driven and Im happy to learn your son is taking the helm.
